ACM Removals Ltd was founded in Christchurch on Apr 12th 2000, with the main objective to help New Zealanders clean their homes from asbestos containing materials in a safe and affordable way.

Today we operate in the North Island Region and we are proud to say that we have come a long way in terms of our accomplishments and procedures.

Here at ACM Removals Ltd we provide a full range of asbestos consultancy services and solutions from encapsulation to total removal and replacement. Applying an open book, target cost approach, we ensure that our client’s budget and delivery expectations are met, while keeping health and safety as our main priority.

All our work is done according to legislation and regulations while maintaining a certified health and safety management system, according to ISO 45001 standard, AS/NZS 4801 standard, Prequal and Site Wise. We take pride in our work and we will strive to improve by maintaining a strong team of professionals and providing excellent service.

Bill Candy

Director
Bill Candy is a Director at ACM Removals Ltd. With his vast experience in leadership roles and knowledge of sales and management, he ensures everything flows smoothly by making decisions in the best interest of the business and its employees. When he is not working hard in the office, Bill likes to hang out with his friends, drive fast cars and spend time with his family.

Rob Barton

General Manager
Rob Barton is the General Manager at ACM Removals Ltd. Since graduating from University in Canada in the 80s, Rob has had the opportunity to be successfully involved with different industries over the year. A career in medical/surgical sales representative, facilities manager, venture financing, as well as founder and CEO of his own marketing company in Canada. Since taking over the role of General Manager in ACMR, Rob has become familiar with all aspects of the asbestos industry, developing a growing company and getting involved with important industry outlets, such as NZDAA and FAMANZ. Rob spends his free time as a water polo coach, surfing on the beach in the summer, fishing, cooking and entertaining or enjoying his time with his fiancée. He doesn’t like cats… but lives with two.

Nikola Milic

Operations Manager
Nikola Milic is a key manager at ACM Removals Ltd. With a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, considerable experience in the construction industry, more than 14 years of experience within the financial services sector and 5 years of experience in the asbestos industry, he is a powerful force in the workplace. He is familiar with all aspects of the business and works hard to keep everyone happy, from our employees to our clients. When he is not in the office, Nikola likes to cook, watch movies, read books, explore cultural events and enjoy the company of his family and his dog Billy.

Mark De Coek

Sales manager
Mark De Coek is a Sales Manager at ACM Removals Ltd. Years of experience in the construction sector and working on the tools for a year in asbestos removal has laid the groundwork for his role in sales. He is familiar with all aspects of the removal process, and therefore capable of giving accurate quotes and catering to all enquiries our clients might have. In his free time, Mark likes to ride motorbikes, hunt with his friends and spend time with his family.

Mia Maric

Office Manager
Mia Maric is the Office Manager at ACM Removals, with a double role as a Health and Safety Manager. After getting a Masters degree in Landscape Architecture, she decided to explore other career options after relocating to New Zealand, and was able to gain a lot of knowledge and experience in the asbestos industry in the past 4 years. Since joining ACMR, Mia has gained a NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety and attended NorthTec and SiteSafe related health and safety courses, which enabled her to obtain the OHSAS 18001, AS/NZS 4801 and ISO 45001 certification for the company’s health and safety management system. When she is not in the office, Mia likes to travel and explore, read books, dabble in photography and spend time with her husband and friends.

Unice Maydell

Office Administrator
Unice Maydell is the Office Administrator at ACM Removals Ltd. After working for years in Dubai in the hospitality sector and gaining considerable customer service experience in a fast paced environment, Unice decided to try something else after relocating to New Zealand, and has been excelling in the administration sector for the past 3 years. In her free time, Unice likes to travel, engage in gardening and diy projects and spend time with her family.
